This is a common question. And for the most part the answer should be: AS BIG AS POSSIBLE!
The goal of the banner is to attract attention. So how big can you make it?
Here are some items to think about when deciding how large to make your banner:
- Does the city/village you live in put limitations on sign sizes?
- Does the landlord (if you don't own) put limitation on sign sizes?
- How far away do you want people to see your banner from?
- How will you secure your banner, will this affect how large your banner is?
Another few other quick tips on banners....
- Cheapest is not always the best. Using a heavier material will increase durability and print quality
- Should you design your banner so it can be used multiple times (do you really need that date on the banner)?
- Digitally printed banners don't cost extra to fill with color and attention getting graphics, go for it!
