So you would like to take your corporate logo and create a beautiful sign in your lobby.
You ask your sign company to use the logo on your website and they hesitate.....
If you call Mark Your Space you won't get that reaction. We will be happy in assisting you. Converting an image from the web into a real life sign can take some time and energy but that is why we are here!
But how long will it take to transform the logo into usable artwork? That depends, there are two major types of artwork.
1) Raster or bitmap artwork. A JPEG is a raster image. These images when increased in size will lose resolution. Think of images you have seen with jagged lines that make up curves instead of actual curves. These images can be recreated by a graphic artist into a vector (#2) image and can be scaled up without loss of resolution.
2) Vector images (also referred to as line image) are really just mathematical equations that can be multiplied to larger and larger (smaller too) sizes without any loss of visual quality.
To accomplish the raster to vector conversion may take anywhere from minutes to hours depending on how complicated (and how rare a font you may use) the logo is. Vector artwork usually only takes a minute or two to determine if it can be used in your application.
So no matter what type of artwork you have we can help you! But now you have a better understanding of how the process will work!
