Some attorneys may lack patience for this task. They feel they know best and it’s beneath them to handhold the client through every step of the process. They demand their clients trust them, but they will only do so because the attorney has failed to provide any other insight or options.
Strive to be inclusive throughout the process. Represent yourself as a professional with knowledge and skill, and your clients will be glad you represent their interests as well.

Fledgling lawyers may be eager to eat every new case that falls on their desk. Every case is another dollar in their pocket, so they indiscriminately accept everything and anything.
This is a pitfall, especially in the beginning.
Your clients will respect a strong track record that shows you will reliably get the outcome they are seeking. You stand the best chance of doing that by considering the details of each case that comes your way and accepting only those that you are certain fit your knowledge and skillset.
