While working on a light cabinet LED retrofit and some upgrades to a sign on one of our client’s properties in Old Saybrook, CT, we had the opportunity to meet one of the tenants in the building. The tenants were Shaun Berner and Tina Valaouras, franchise owners of a 9Round 30 Minute Kickbox Fitness facility. In my discussion with Shaun he told me about the other facilities they owned. In particular, his original facility in North Branford and the need to upgrade the signage due to the branding changes made by the corporate office. I set up an appointment to meet with Shaun and review what he was looking to do. Based on the information we gathered from our meeting and the artwork provided by Shaun we put together a proposal to update his signs. Shaun accepted our proposal and the pictures below show the finished product.
The 9Round 30 Minute Kickbox Fitness franchise was established to provide their clients with a unique, fun, and proven workout that guarantees results. Their fitness program is built on a kickboxing theme. The program incorporated functional, interval, cardiovascular, and circuit training regimes. It is a proprietary system of nine challenging workout stations developed by a professional fighter. Shaun and Tina opened their North Branford facility in early 2012. At present they have a location in Old Saybrook and are working on opening a location in Branford. There were several different sign components to update at the North Branford location. In particular, sign panels for the light cabinets on the front of the building and pylon sign, window lettering along with a large, full-color window graphic for the front windows, and some interior wall graphic. The light cabinet panels were fabricated using a combination of opaque and translucent vinyl mounted to polycarbonate panels. We used perforated vinyl for the large window graphic with cast opaque vinyl for the lettering. The eye-catching results can be seen in the photos included in this article.
