The owner of AJ Shea Construction, a member of my BNI group, let me know that he had an existing truck that he wanted the truck lettering updated on.   Some of the trucks were lettered some years ago and didn’t exactly match the current branding style used by the company. Providing a consistent branding image for you company is important in sending the right message to your customers. The pictures below show the end results of our efforts to put a consistent logo on AJ Shea Construction trucks. AJ Shea Construction has been existence since 1981.   Their focus is on the custom residential building market providing technical and management expertise to their clients.   Their services include site excavation and trucking, carpentry services, shop-built cabinets, custom millwork, and subcontracting services to meet the needs of your project.   For more information and pictures of their work check out their website - http://www.ajshea.com Once we had the logo design exactly the way the client wanted it we needed to address how to deal with the different color trucks.   The newer trucks have white cabs which worked well with the blue and grey logo. They color scheme would not work well on the older trucks which were dark green. In this case we actually recommended making the logo out of white reflective vinyl.   This would add some added visibility when the truck was used in the evening hours. The client liked this recommendation and gave us his approval to move forward.   The next step for us was to remove the old vinyl lettering.   This took a bit of effort given the length of time the vinyl was on the trucks. With the vinyl removed the next challenge was to reduce the ghosting that resulted over time. Using a buffing we were able to reduce the ghosting sufficiently enough for us to continue with the installation of the vinyl. You can see the results in the photos.
