I received a phone call from the owner of the Papercraft Clubhouse looking for a new sign. They had just moved from to a new location and needed signage to help customers, old and new, find them. She wanted to stay with the black background and gold lettering theme used with the signs on the old buildings. Following up our phone conversation I did a site visit to get a better look at the old signs. I also meet her at the new location to survey the location of the new sign and discuss the requirements. She really needed a sign near the road so it was seen by passerby’s. A double-sided post and panel sign was determined to be the best solution. The attached pictures show the before and after.
Papercraft Clubhouse was established in 2010 by owner Tracie Larson after spending 5 years working for the Scrapbook Clubhouse where she taught lots of classes and learned the business. Their goal was to create a “clubhouse” type atmosphere…a very friendly environment. Working with the sign area constraints of we design presented Tracie with the design shown in the photos. We decide to construct the sign components out of ¾” thick MDO, a painted black with gold and white cast vinyl. The black, gold and white color scheme created good contrasts making a very readable sign. All of the signs were mounted to between two cedar posts painted white and finished off with decorative post caps.
