Last time, our team visited Amazon’s POC1 facility to put together the conference room wall and window graphics. This time, we designed, fabricated, and installed giant wall decals in Fontana, CA.
Huge Wall Decal Portrays the Facility’s Hawk Mascot
For this project, the client requested an oversized rendition of its hawk mascot. Our graphic artist designed a die-cut decal that appears to be flying out of the facility’s round logo. It measures 18 feet by 20 feet. Because the client wanted the graphic installed where it could be seen anywhere in the warehouse, we installed it with our scissor lift close to the ceiling. The finished product looks great and perfectly ties together the wall and window graphics we had already put up.
What is a Die Cut Decal?
We frequently use this term to describe window graphics and decals for commercial buildings. When our technicians die-cut a graphic, they cut through the vinyl as well as its backing. The cut is clean, and you will not see any material left around the image. Die-cutting works for any shape and size. Clients like die cut vinyl graphics because they have a spotless look and present the graphic as you will see it once installed.
Who Invests in Die Cut Decals and Graphics?
Die-cut vinyl decals and graphics have endless uses. As we have already outlined, they are excellent for wall, window, and vehicle graphics. Clients with fleets benefit from this technique for vehicle graphic designs because it produces identical decals that we can install on fleet vehicles.
When putting together window graphics, particularly lettering, die cutting is a fantastic way of replicating your selected front across multiple surfaces.
Other Options for Your Next Decal Order
The giant wall decal in Fontana is an example of a die-cut design. Another option is to manufacture contour-cut decals. When opting for a contour cut, the graphic may take on the image’s outline or present in a form contrary to the image you portray. For example, the hawk decal could be presented in a circular sticker design.
Another option, laser cutting, works well when your design involves intricate details that would be difficult to replicate with die-cutting technology. The laser allows for unmatched precision. Because one method will never meet everyone’s needs, our team will help you determine the best way to fabricate the necessary decals and graphics.
