What makes a great sign company? Is it just low prices? Do other factors need to be considered? Here at Front Range Vital Signs, we think that to make a great sign company, you must fit together many different pieces of the retail, customer service and sign making puzzles.
Our most important piece to that puzzle is to provide a quality sign. But having a quality sign that doesn't meet the specifications of the customer doesn't do anyone any good. Although we strive to provide the best quality signage to all of our customers, we also want to take the time up front to fully understand the needs of our customers. We want to know about their business, who is their customer, what is the message they are trying to convey?
Does this take more time? Certainly! Is it worth it? We believe so. Taking the extra time up front to ensure we have all of the qualifying information saves time in re-work and eliminates disgruntled customers later.
Doesn't it cost more to take all that time up front? Sure it does. That is why we will never be the cheapest company in town. If someone is just out looking for the cheapest price, they have no one else to blame but themselves if the end product is not exactly what they wanted. We certainly do not strive to be the cheapest company in town, but we also do not want to be the most expensive. We know that, in the current business environment, our customers are trying to penny pinch as much as possible. Heck, so are we. We price our vendors to get the best prices possible as well, however, we won't continue working with a vendor that provides us with poor support, even if they are the cheapest supplier out there. We are willing to pay a little extra to get the kind of service we believe we deserve. In the same sense, we believe our customers are too.
Front Range Vital Signs considers itself a full service sign company. In order to provide those extra services that a customer needs, we won't have the cheapest prices in town. Rest assured however, our priorities are always with providing you with a quality product that meets or exceeds your expectations. We do this so that our customers end up saving in the long run by not having to repurchase a sign that was originally poorly created.
That's it for this post. If you have another opinion on what makes a great sign company, please add your comments below.
