Banners are typically thought of as a short term type of signage. For the most part, this is true. However, the method used for installing the banner could turn it into a much longer term type of sign. The material used to create a banner (typically a 13 oz scrim material) is very durable. What makes a banner break down and become a short term sign is how it is installed. If the banner is installed loosely, it bends in the wind. A correctly installed banner has pressure all the way around the banner holding it tight. If the banner can not wave in the wind, it will last much longer. We have installed an outdoor banner that has lasted over 2 years, and still looks like new!
One of the best ways of ensuring your banner is installed optimally is to put it in a banner frame. An outdoor banner frame has the ability to stretch the banner on all sides. This makes the banner look incredible while also making sure it has a long life. This also gives you the flexibility to swap out banners quickly to advertise special occasions and then go back to your default when the occasion passes.
As for indoor banners, banner frames can make your banners look like pieces of art. A snap frame will keep your banner flat all the way around. Using specialty banner material, you can get the look of a canvas print, or even the look of leather.
