Interior design and home organization trends often fluctuate in popularity. As 2019 is ending, it’s time to evaluate, which specific trends continue to inspire both designers and homeowners. These popular trends are ideal for both apartment and home dwellers, who wish to re-organize and renovate their homes. Open Shelving Open shelving is an easy way to showcase everyday items, and it’s both stylish and functional. While open shelving is most popular in the kitchen, you can use them in any room in your home.  Group multiples of the same item, such as bowls, or mugs. Arrange them in rows or stack them artistically. Place items of varying heights on the same shelf to make it interesting. Oversized Nightstands Incorporating custom oversized nightstands has become popular again this year since these match larger headboards. They create a balanced look in your bedroom while providing extra storage. You can buy drawer dividers so that the drawers don’t become a cluttered mess. Personalized Kitchen Storage Your kitchen is the heart of your home so it’s essential that you personalize your storage needs to minimize the clutter there.  Consider updating your cabinets with Shaker-style cabinets. The classic style looks stunning in even modern kitchens. In addition, think vertical storage, such as adding a coffee bar into an overhead open shelf or installing a spice rack above your range. Vertical Gardens and Biophilia Biophilia, sustainability, and vertical gardens are all the rage right now. That means using natural fibers like wood and stone and embracing natural sunlight inside. A vertical garden allows you to save space, and an easy option is to attach potted plants to a wall and displayed in rows.  You can set up a vertical garden indoors or outdoors. Woven Baskets Woven and wicker baskets have heightened in their popularity because they’re such a versatile décor piece. They come in a range of different styles and sizes, making it easy to add texture to any room and use it as any extra organization space.  Consider arranging extra some throw blankets in a large woven basket or using some square wicker baskets to store linens under your bed. Curved Furniture In 2020, curved furniture will re-emerge, especially curved sofas and curved chairs.  With their rounded edges, it’s easier to fit these pieces into smaller rooms and still have ample space. Another bonus is that curved sofas were designed for hosting guests and having visits and conversation.
