When you open a business, you not only open a storefront, you become part of a community of other small business owners.  Whether you are welcomed into that community can go a long way toward having a successful business. In our case, we opened on a relatively busy avenue with many small retail and professional businesses as our neighbors.  We have done several small projects for the mattress store across the street, with some possible panel truck work in the spring.
