Senior Care Services Available in Walnut Creek A senior care advisor can be a valuable asset as you seek to find the right solution to allow your loved ones to live life to the fullest even if they require assistance or additional medical assistance. As an advisor in the East Bay Area, it’s my passion to help families select the right care facility or make the ideal health plans for their loved ones. Navigating the process of finding a facility which is equipped to handle one’s needs, finding the right cultural fit for your loved one and making it work financially can be challenging, and having an ally in your corner who is experienced in helping others can make the process less stressful and can result in the perfect match. In the sections to follow, I will discuss a few qualifications which help someone become a successful senior care advisor. If you are in Walnut Creek or the surrounding areas, I would love to be your partner in securing senior care for your loved ones, but no matter where you are, make sure your potential advisor possesses these important qualities. Empathy As an advisor, I make a conscious effort to understand the situation my clients are in and view their circumstances from their point of view. Empathy is the most important quality in a senior care advisor because you must understand the decision to move a loved one to a care facility is one which is wrought with stress, worry and uncertainty. It’s my job to ease those concerns, but also allow my clients to feel heard and respected, and being empathetic to their situation allows me to do so. Passion My career as an advisor was born out of my own experience with a loved one who needed to find the right care facility. While I won’t share my entire story here, the difficulties myself and my family faced during this process were tremendous, and I never wanted anyone to feel this way while going through the difficult task of finding the right care for their elderly family members. Since this is the case, I am a passionate advocate for my clients and I believe any senior care advisor should be as well. Other senior care advisors I have worked with, shadowed and coached myself echo this point, and we all have a passion for helping people find their ideal solution. Knowledge While empathy and passion are essential, without knowledge of the struggles people face during the process of securing care, a good working knowledge of the financial dynamic involved and expert level knowledge about the facilities in the area and the service they provide, an advisor wouldn’t be much help. I help my clients by assessing their needs and then using a vast network of facilities and care options to make a recommendation, and I am there to help every step of the way. When you know the facility has a good reputation and caring, skilled workers, you can point your clients in a direction where they will be in good hands.
