This can be a great indicator to what’s going on in the area on a larger market driven scale. You can check to see if houses in the area are selling or not and for what if they are selling. You can see prices that are on the rise and look for patterns where prices are dropping. You may end up wanting to slow down the process a but and wait for things to play themselves out over the next few months.
Another reason to check for housing trends is becuase you can often find a wealth of other information as well. For example, Realtors in the area most likley will have websites that have put this information together for you. In addition to this information you can find info about local schools, recreation and more. If you don’t find anything when seaerching on the Internet locally, you can try some of the major websites like realtor.com and the others. They tools are also useful and can give you an even bigger picture of housing trends in a larger area than at the neighborhood level.
