Recently, Black Rock Coffee Bar contacted us to create and install window graphics at their new Hazel Dell store in Vancouver, WA. Black Rock Coffee Bars are not like most typical coffee spots. They aim to “create community-centric stores that become the hub and lifeline of whole regions.” They want to do more than just serve you a cup of coffee. They bring “sophistication, energy and style” to the community.
At this new location off I-5 and NE 78th St. in Vancouver, we created two different types of window signs. First, we installed a branding sign that features their logo on the front door to welcome customers (image above). Visible logos are essential to any good marketing plan because they help build the company brand, and in this case they also act as directional signage to guide customers into the business.
Next, we installed retail window graphics on the glass located right next to the drive through window (image below). These signs advertise Rock Star cold drinks & smoothies. The Rock Star graphics were printed on 50/50 perforated vinyl. Perforated vinyl is a great material to use in an application like this one because the printed image is bright and viewable from the outside, but from the inside, customers and staff can still see out because tiny holes make up 50% of the sign area. Another great aspect of this type of window graphics is that removal is a breeze. In a few months, when Black Rock Coffee Bar wants to advertise a different menu item, the Rock Star graphics can quickly and easily be replaced with another perforated vinyl sign.
