We also talk about the most common types of handguns and their features, as well as a little background on how they actually work to give a solid basis of understanding for any participant. Practical skills for beginners are also covered, such as how to disassemble and care for your gun to keep it working correctly for years, how to load and unload the weapon and safely fire the gun. The first course in handguns includes time in the classroom and on the range, applying what you learn in real time. People who take our courses love the ability to ask questions on the range and shoot immediately following the classroom session.
