Glamorously set atop Gorde’s hilltop, the 16th century Bastide went through a much needed renovation during 2015 to bring back its old-world vibe. Once inside this hotel has its own collection of 18th century antiques, and designers brought in over 4,000 paintings for the guest rooms. The new hotel has two restaurants: the glamorous and luxury style restaurant, La Bastide, and a new place under the well-respected chef Pierre Gagnaire. The beautiful and elegant courtyard has manicured lawns and a broad, wonderfully appointed, shaded terrace geared to relaxation, along with the luxe three-level Spa Sisely. The spa includes a steam room, Japanese baths, and a chromatic pool with amazing views of the Vallée de Gordes.
