Six Senses Laamu supports marine environment education and awareness–it has collaborated with the Blue Marine Foundation, which has established an on-site research centre, and is committed to growing its carbon footprint. The resort is engaged in the protection of coral reefs and seagrass, and it tracks and manages the local population of sea turtles. It is involved in community outreach programs and at its earth lab center, it works towards self-sufficiency and zero-waste targets.
