There's a new restaurant going in over at Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton, CA, and they needed a sign to cover a 75’ exterior barricade that was installed to hide the entrance of the restaurant during construction. Often, at malls, you see barricade facades covering the entrance to a store during construction and while the business is moving in. Once the store is up and running, and ready for a grand opening, the wall barricade is taken down.
In the image above, you can see some of the graphics as they are being printed. In the image below, you can see the images installed on the barricade at Stoneridge Mall. With our large digital format printer, we are able to meet customer demands of high quality, large format images, to promote every type of business, from new stores opening at malls, to full vehicle wraps for company vehicles.
One thing that was a bit of a challenge was finding a solution that would meet our customers needs, while facing issues with this particular barricade. Our customer wanted an exterior wall wrap to advertise the new restaurant, but the barricade was sectional painted plywood and was rough, not flat, making it difficult to wrap with vinyl. Typically, wall wraps are what we use on an interior, smooth barricade façade. But we couldn't wrap this barricade because it isn't smooth. So we came up with another idea. We proposed a smooth exterior vinyl that was mounted with screws and washers into the plywood, which gives the sign a taut look, just like a wrap. Since this is an outdoor sign, we used high grade outdoor materials that will withstand the elements for 9+ months.
