Project: Cast Vinyl and Laminate Signage
Customer: Almeda County Fairgrounds
Location: Pleasanton, CA
The Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, Ca was looking for a unique way to advertise the upcoming county fair. In addition, they were looking for some way to beautify an old water tower that is located right in the middle of the horse racing track.
One thing that was important was we had to consider the final size of the sign so that it would be visible from a significant distance. We also had to consider the fact that the location is outside, and the type of weather in our area. The surface of the tower and the rivets were also significant factors to consider when we were choosing materials that would properly adhere to the surface.
The sign we made for Alameda County Fairgrounds is manufactured from cast performance vinyl and laminate products that have high textile strength. The materials we used are tear resistant, which is extremely important when you are installing a sign over rivets, because they can easily damage a sign. The sign, seen in the image above, is 120” h x 84”w. It’s gloss and clarity are both necessary for the sign to be visible over longer distances.
