Shoot safely and responsibly with these tips

When you’re new to gun ownership or have just started shooting, practice can surely make perfect.

The shooting range is the perfect place to learn how to safely and effectively use your firearm or learn to shoot before purchasing your own. Beginners sometimes have apprehension about visiting the range, but our team has a passion for sharing their knowledge about responsible gun ownership to people of all skill levels.

Located in the Phoenix, AZ area, our tactical shooting range features state of the art technology, an expert group of instructors and a store featuring the top brands of firearms, ammo and accessories.

In this article, we wanted to address some FAQs from beginners who visit our facility. We hope these will help if you’re just starting out, and if you want to visit our range then we would be more than happy to have you!

What should I bring?

This is perhaps the most common question we get from new visitors to our range. Luckily, you can show up with just yourself! But, it will be easier if you bring along a few things when you visit.

You’ll need a photo ID to get started, along with enough ammunition to get you through a shooting session. If you don’t already have ammo, we have every kind you might need in stock at the range. When shooting on the range, you always need proper eye and ear protection. While we do offer rentals, it would be wise to purchase your own eye and ear protection so you can select models which are comfortable and fit your preferences.

Do I need my own gun?

Some people want to try out shooting before committing to purchasing their own gun, or just to build their skills while they save for their ideal firearm purchase. Others visit our range with friends as a social outing, but don’t have their own gun yet.

If you fall into one of these categories, or otherwise don’t have a firearm but still want to shoot, you do not have to own a gun or bring your own to shoot at our range.

We offer a full catalog of rental guns, including handguns and rifles. Our rental fleet consists of some of the best options on the market today, so renting a gun to shoot at our range is certainly a great way to “test drive” a gun and see if it might be right for you.

What resources are available for beginners?

We pride ourselves on sharing our knowledge, and it’s always an honor to help someone learn how to shoot responsibly. We offer a full catalog of training courses for people of all skill levels, and resources for those who want to obtain a concealed carry permit.

In addition, our state of the art range offers simulators and one-on-one training, perfect for people who are just starting out.

No matter your skill level, we would love to have you visit our range. If you have questions we didn’t address here, please feel free to call us any time!
