Family Firearm Safety The first class we offer at our venue is meant to teach the absolute basics of firearm safety and handling. In this class students will learn the 5 rules of safe handling and storage of firearms in the home, and how to handle a situation of finding a firearm in someone else’s home. It is required that you attend this class as a family as much of the time will be spent talking about your individual needs. Family guidelines are essential to knowing how to be prepared and what to do in a situation where you or your kids need to defend yourselves. Youth Introduction to Firearms The second family protection class we offer is designed for youth without any previous experience shooting firearms. In this class, the youth will learn basics of marksmanship and firearm operation with live fire drills on the range. Practical skills they learn include performing a safety check, loading and unloading a magazine and firearm, and safely shooting on the range. You must attend this class as a family. Parents in this class will learn the best practices for coaching their children in shooting as well as how to keep them safe on the range.
