That’s why on Mondays we offer FREE range time the entire day of Monday for the ladies of our shooting community.
We have 4 high-quality classes at our indoor gun range that are designed exclusively for women shooters. These courses are offered regularly so they aren’t a burden on your schedule. Check out the overview of each one below and come find your community of shooting ladies now!
Women’s Introduction to Handgun
The first class offered is designed for women who have never laid eyes or hands on a firearm. This class gives you all the necessary basics about handguns and how to handle them safely.
Learning targets in this class include universal gun safety, knowing the types of handguns and ammunition, safe storage, and safe function of handguns.
The best part of this class is we get the novices out on the range in the last hour of this 4-hour class. Active fire drills will help them learn how to do a safety check, load and unload, and shoot 50 rounds with supervision. This is the best starting point for anyone looking to join the shooting community.
Women’s Basic Handgun
The next step in our ladies-only training classes is learning the basic skills of competitively shooting a handgun. This class will cover the basics of marksmanship and other fundamentals in accurately firing a handgun.
Learning targets of this class include proper stance, correct grip, aiming, and trigger technique.
Some of the highlights of this class include using inert Blue Training Guns and time in the Simulation Room to practice techniques. Plus, one-on-one coaching before going to the live fire range and shooting a playing card in half. By the end of this course, you will be able to have accurate and consistent single handgun shots.
Women’s Intermediate Handgun
The third rung in our ladder of ladies-only shooting brings you from the beginner novice levels to the intermediate shooter. This class directly builds on the skills and techniques learned in the previous class to take accurate single shots and make them accurate multiple shots.
Learning targets of this class include presentation, recoil management, advanced trigger control, and accurate follow-up shots.
By the end of this course, students will be able to feel competent and capable in their shooting abilities. They will be able to shoot alone recreationally, competitively, or defensively.
Women’s Practical Pistol
The final class in our ladies-only shooting classes helps students take a significant step in their shooting skills. In this class, students will learn advanced shooting techniques. Almost the entire class is on the range so proper equipment and safety knowledge is essential.
Learning techniques in this class include drawing your handgun from an outside waistband holster, speedy reloading, handling malfunctions, and presentation to first shot.
By the end of this class, students will be confident in their ability to hold and handle a pistol. We highly encourage you to continue your pistol training with our other class offerings or private instruction.
