One of the best things about our indoor gun range in Arizona is that we are a family. Even though range shooting is meant for adults, we encourage all families who are looking for something fun and educational to do together to check out our family & youth training classes. Our family & youth training classes are specifically designed with family units in mind. They are fun and attentive for the kids, and educational and bonding for the adults. Not only do the kids learn about handling a firearm safely in this class, but parents get to learn about the best ways to support their kids on the range too. Family Firearm Safety The first of our family & youth training classes is the family firearm safety course. This course starts at the very beginning of safe gun handling tactics. It is built for the families that have very little experience shooting on the range together. This class is completely in the classroom and in instructional format. It parallels the structuring of our introduction to firearm class for adults but adapts it for the younger audience. Learning goals for students in this class include knowing the rules for safe storage and use of firearms, how to navigate situations surrounding firearms in the home, and understanding your family’s needs and rules about firearm safety. Youth Introduction to Firearms The next class in our youth & family class series is the Youth Introduction to Firearms. This builds on the information learned in the previous class and puts it to practical use. Kids ages 6 and up with no shooting experience are encouraged to take this class with the parent that has shooting experience. This class is a mix of classroom time and range time. Learning goals for students in this class include understanding the basic techniques needed to shoot a .22 rifle. For parents, the learning goals are knowing the best ways to make the most of time on the range as a family and understanding the best practices to keep their kids safe. Every child in this class must have a parent with them as we are doing live-fire drills. Glock Maintenance This class is taught by our certified Glock armorer who has the training and experience to be certified for this instructional position. They will give you a comprehensive guide to the Glock pistol. By the end of this course you will understand the basics of a complete breakdown of a Glock pistol and know how to reassemble it beyond the standards of your basic field stripping. This class has a maximum of 10 students so that everyone can get lots of 1-on-1 instruction, so book your spot today. We provide the Glock disassembly tool, but you will need to bring your own Glock pistol. A cleaning kit is recommended for you to bring as well, but not required.
