At C2 Tactical, we are committed to creating this safe space for our community members to easily find each other and learn the necessary skills of self-defense.
Not only do we have FREE RANGE TIME on Monday’s for all the women in our community, but we also offer a series of classes that are for ladies only. These classes happen throughout the week and are quite popular. Each class is committed to helping you improve your skills both on the range and in real-life defensive situations. The ladies that take this class are strong and ready to defend each other in a heartbeat; they find a second home at our range.
Women’s Basic Pistol Course
The first class we offer for our ladies only shooter courses are designed for the absolute beginner. You don’t need any shooting experience to be able to attend this class, just some interest and excitement in learning how to offensively handle a pistol. With an emphasis on safety and accurate operation, this class teaches the fundamentals of handguns to its students.
Specific topics include loading and unloading mechanics, firing stances, breath control, and pistol follow-through. These skills are then put to practice in live-fire drills on the range. After this class ever student will have the skills needed to shoot 18ft. consistent grouping giving them confidence that, should they need to, they can effectively use a pistol in the offensive position.
Intermediate Pistol Operation and Handling
Our second offering in the ladies-only shooting courses continues to improve the offensive skills learned in the basics class. Intermediate Pistol Operation and Handling expands the ladies’ knowledge outside of the pistol realm. We look at different firearms that are still easy to carry such as semi-automatic pistols and revolvers.
This second class tries to make the skills and knowledge more practical and able to be applied to every-day situations and usage. This includes topics like using a holster for concealed carry and a basic understanding of the color codes of awareness.
Women’s Defensive Pistol
Our final class is one of our most popular classes within our community. Instead of focusing on the offensive pistol operations, it is completely focused on the defensive side. Beginning with the Avoid, Escape, Defend mindset, it teaches students about being a responsibly armed woman. We stress that the use of force in a self-defense situation should be a last resort and justifiable in why it’s used.
This class, while titled Defensive Pistol, is really a learning in the mental aspect of self-defense. Students learn tactics on how to approach a conflict and assess their situation and save themselves. Along with the mental education, students in this class also learn a few offensive tactics for when force does need to be applied such as shooting form a high compressed ready position, and other loading and reloading methods when in a stressful situation. Everything learned in this class helps women know how to defend themselves and others should the situation arise.
