Personal safety should be everyone’s number one priority. However, there are some professions that inherently lend themselves to some more dangerous situations that could require self-defense. Hopefully you would never find yourself in this situation, however, it is always a good idea to be prepared just in case there is no escape.
One of these professions is real estate. From single person showings, to going to locations potentially in a more secluded area, it’s a great idea for realtors to know the fundamentals of personal safety. This doesn’t even necessarily mean carrying and using a firearm, but simply the basics of how to stay aware and prevent these situations, as well as resources and tools for self-defense.
Luckily, C2 Tactical offers just such a class specific for realtors and situations common to their every day work practices. This one-of-a-kind course focuses on learning about awareness and mindset for survival. This includes preventing being victimized and criminal mindset. Additionally after taking this class students will have the resources from crime prevention and the tools for self-defense to keep them safe and confident when doing their marketplace jobs.
More specific areas of learning include: personal awareness when hosting open houses, house security and awareness items to pass along to potential buyers and seller, and use of less-than-lethal defensive techniques and items that you can carry with you.
Our instructors are all required to have NRA Certification and Prior Law Enforcement experience so you can trust they are experts in the things they are teaching you. Additionally, should you find yourself in a situation requiring self-defense, our instructors will be able to help you learn to navigate the aftermath and potential conflict with law enforcement.
If you are interested in more than simply protection geared towards your professional workplace as a realtor, there are a few other options we offer for general safety and personal protection essentials (PPE). There are options for both learning personal protection with weapons and without weapons which requires more hand-to-hand combat.
With our other options students begin with the absolute basics, learning about defensive tactics before moving on to more advanced studies with weapons (not always necessarily firearms) and combat. At C2 the full personal safety classes are included in a 12-course study. Similar to our realtor class, this course also helps students learn about awareness and preventative measures because it’s always better to avoid conflict if possible.
The more specific focus within this 12-course training are: impact weapons, edged weapons, tactical flashlight, and improvised weapons as well as combat training. These are important things to understand as anything can realistically be a weapon, and as a realtor you may be forced to improvise with the object in a house.
