Assemble advisors and partners who offer strengths you lack. For example, a tech genius co-founder, board members with industry expertise, and mentors with specialized wisdom. These compensate for your gaps better than “well-rounded” individuals. The only absolute liability in business is a lack of hunger and hustle. So, do not apologize for what you don’t bring to the table. Flaunt your scrappiness, lean into your outsider perspective, stay resourceful, and build a solid complementary team. That combustible formula is why underdogs regularly trounce pedigreed players who underestimated them.
