Landscaper Grew Revenue $100K Months After Launch

INTRO:

Hi, my name is Danny Creed, and I’m an internationally renowned Master business coach. THE CLIENT:

When my client came to me, they had an idea and a passion but not much else. They wanted to build a landscaping business from the ground up, but they were quickly discouraged by the challenge of a lot of competition. Most of their competitors had years of experience, well-established businesses, and magnetic signs on their pick-up trucks promoting their services. It seemed like this may be a significant setback to getting the business off the ground.

As any business owner knows, standing out from the competition is essential for success. However, this can be challenging, especially in a crowded market like landscaping. My client found it difficult to get noticed with so many trucks promoting businesses on their cars. And if you don’t stand out, you won’t get the customers you need to succeed. THE SOLUTION:

When I helped my client start their landscaping business, we quickly realized there was a large gap in the market for high-end services. While there were plenty of small companies offering basic lawn care, there were very few who could provide the same level of care and attention to detail we wanted to show. As a result, we began to focus our efforts on targeting upscale properties. By offering a higher quality of service, we were able to attract a new clientele and grow our business quickly. In addition, by focusing on this underserved market, we could differentiate ourselves from the competition and establish ourselves as a leading provider of landscaping services for upscale homes, condos, and HOAs.

We used the Champions Power Referral Network to focus our sales plan only on the upscale players in the market. This helped us scale our sales efforts to the right clientele. The network provided us with a list of potential customers who fit our target profile, and we were able to connect successfully with many of them. As a result of this targeted approach, we secured a significant number of high-value contracts. My client saw the value in creating high-promoting customers and contacts for referrals.

THE RESULT:

Coaching my client through the process of starting and growing their business was an immensely rewarding experience. Watching them go from having zero monthly revenue to 100,000 in just four months was incredible. It’s been an amazing journey watching my client go from having no landscaping projects under contract to now having several five and six-figure contracts, all within the span of one year. We’re projecting they’ll do more than $5 million in our first year, thanks to the hard work and dedication my client has put in.
