INTRO:

THE CLIENT:
My client was an independent insurance agent at a large independent firm in a big market. The firm specializes in commercial/business insurance and has over thirty agents. My client was one of those agents. He was very smart with a background in insurance. On paper, he would do an excellent job at selling insurance at one of the largest firms in the world since he had all the skills needed to be successful.
The problem with my client was that he had to make a large amount of cold sales calls, which he was uncomfortable with. The anxiety became so significant that he was thinking about leaving the business. If it weren’t for the investment in time and money that he had invested, he would’ve left his role. He didn’t know where to turn or how to approach this meaningful gap in his career. He would soon realize that making cold sales calls is a skill that can be learned with the help of my business coaching work. Luckily, he got in touch with me, and we began our work.
THE SOLUTION:
When I spoke with the client, he explained how he struggled with prospecting. He didn’t enjoy the process and didn’t feel comfortable with it, causing him to miss out on potential leads. More importantly, it affected his ability to believe in his abilities as a leader. Together, we created a customized business coaching program that focused on helping him with prospecting in a way that he enjoyed and felt comfortable with. The program included weekly check-ins, accountability partner calls, and personalized coaching sessions. Through this program, my client was able to learn the skills he needed to succeed at prospecting.
In addition, we got specific about the sales needs of my client. When it comes to business coaching, I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every client is different, and that means I tailor every coaching program to fit the specific needs of the client’s business. That’s why I was excited to work with this particular client, who was looking to create a referral-based sales process that he felt would grow his skills. Together, we crafted a program for 10x referrals that focused on identifying and building relationships with the client’s Champions. These are the ones in his network most likely to give referrals that turn into new business.
THE RESULT:
As a result of my business coaching plan, my client’s sales exponentially exploded. This gave him the confidence he needed to establish his credibility. As a result of my client’s improved performance, his peers were able to see him as a leader who could execute.
As a result of his tremendous personal growth, my client is now the company’s president and is driving its growth. My coaching plan helped him tap into his inner power and greatness, and he is now thriving in his role as a leader.
