Collaborating closely, Behavioral Health Techs join forces with various specialists to pave the way for each resident’s growth and triumphs. Let’s dive into the major duties you’ll be juggling:
- Monitoring and assisting residents in improving daily living skills, personal hygiene, medication adherence and interpersonal effectiveness
- Implementing individual service plans to reinforce positive behaviors and help residents achieve their goals
- Observing behaviors to prevent residents from causing harm to themselves or others and intervening according to established policies when risks occur
- Providing transportation to appointments or activities and accompanying residents on community outings
- Communicating important updates, progress, and setbacks regarding caseload to supervisors and care team
- Maintaining timely, accurate documentation
