We were recently contacted by Refractory Construction Services. They are opening several locations in Kemah, Beaumont, & Corpus Christie Texas. They needed commercial signage for the new locations they were opening. This was the first of the signage projects to be completed.
The picture above shows the UV laminated LED channel letter sign we fabricated and installed for Refractory Construction Services. We used their current logo which consists of black and a gradient orange-yellow. As you can tell it really catches the eye. The two pictures below show Pinnacle Sign Company installing the new channel letter sign. You can see the LEDs inside the channel letters that allow it to be illuminated.

Refractory Construction Services is a team of industrial construction specialists. They provide various construction services from boiler and heater rebuilding to fireproofing.
A standard channel letter is a three-dimensional graphic sign. Its channel is fabricated from sheet metal, most often aluminum since it will not rust. A flat sheet of aluminum is typically cut on a table by a computer-controlled router. This creates the back of the channel and is the basis for the letter shape. The sides of the channel letter, called the returns, are then formed by bending a 3 to 6-inch-wide (150 mm) strip of aluminum sheet around the aluminum back. This return can be welded at the seam or flanged and riveted or, with a metal stitcher, can be fastened with galvanized or stainless wire to the back to create a solid can in the shape of the letter. The letter can is painted and fitted with light-emitting diode (LED) modules. A translucent plastic face usually of 3/16" thick sheet acrylic is cut to fit the open face of the letter can. When illuminated at night, channel letters draw the eye of passers-by.
The new channel letters will help RCS's current clients and vendors locate them. Since statistics show that the vast majority of new customers are acquired from drive by views of a sign, this will also increase RCS's revenue.
