We received a call from the owner of this gorgeous home wanting to set up an appointment to see if we could solve several issues, while not changing the outside appearance too drastically. While the brick structure of this house was effective at not letting outside heat into the home, the multitude of windows were another story.  The good looking windows were definitely not a good barrier to both the solar heat entering the home, nor effective in dealing with the UV radiation. Both of these issues can limit the enjoyment of your time in your home, and can even have a damaging effect to you and your possessions. One rather expensive option is to have a company come out and measure all of your windows for either shades or blinds. But either will change the outside appearance to your home, and end up blocking light from your rooms.  A much better options is to have experts install window tinting films. Window tinting films have the ability to block up to 99% of the solar heat from ever entering your home in the first place.  And unlike the shutters or blind option, windows with window tint films allow the normal light to enter, while often improving the overall look of your home. Window tinting films are also very effective at controlling the harmful effects from UV rays. UV radiation will harm the interior of your home by potentially fading your floors and furniture and can even produce cracking in flooring and other wooden objects. In addition, you also can be harmed by UV rays. When we are outside our homes, we are advised to wear protection from the sun. Specifically, it is the UV radiation that causes sun burn, premature aging, and even in some cases skin cancer. Window tint films act like your sunglasses and sun tan lotion when you are inside your home. Normal window glass does absolutely nothing to protect you from the harmful UV rays. For this project we recommended the installation of Huper Optik Ceramic 35 window tint film on each and every window in order to have maximum effect. This film incorporates tiny metallic particles in the film in order to block the heat and UV rays from the sunlight, while still allowing light into your home.  This film also gave a very nice update to the appearance of this outstanding home.
