If you are like many folks, a location like this is considered ideal, with wonderful views of the water and the activities around there. You might have a dock, with a boat, or just enjoy activities like fishing.
Sun light is essential, bringing heat and light into your home. Despite the positive things about sunlight, there are several issue that accompany the solar energy entering your home. Especially during the warmer months, your home can become uncomfortably hot, which causes you to use your air-conditioning to battle this heat. This leads to higher electric costs which no one welcomes.
An additional situation, which is usually unique to homes on the water, is the problem of glare off the water. When you look out of a windows toward the water, you have to squint and your eyes have to adjust. This can ruin your views - those that might have influenced your decision to buy this house in the first place.
The other major problem with solar energy is the Ultra violet rays that accompany the sun light entering your home. UV energy can have a detrimental effect on many of the furnishing you have carefully chosen. It can also cause fading on hardwood floors and furniture, as well as cracking. Ordinary window glass does nothing to prevent UV energy from entering your home.
You could decide to change out all of your windows and glass sliding doors to ones with special tinted glass, but that is both very expensive and impractical.
The ideal solution is window tint films, which will control excessive heat from even entering your home. When you choose the right film, 99% of the solar heat can be stopped from even entering in the first place. These films also successfully control the UV energy, to protect your home.
There are a number of films to choose from, and this homeowner went with Huper Optik Ceramic 50 for its outstanding UV and heat rejection, while still allowing a crystal clear view with reduced glare.
We are your local experts in all types of window tinting. Just give us a call to get started on solving your home or business energy issues.
