EXCO International, LLC has been working on customer needs from 2006. EXCO is a systems integrations company. They use technology in the form of cameras, controllers and electronics to provide solutions for industrial off highway applications. Examples are found in Vacuum truck (sewage removal), Concrete (pumping & blasting), Cranes & Lifts, Transport trailers, Railcar movers, Zoo Habitats, Robots, Pavers, Compactors, Harvesters and Mining. These sorts of customers are in the field, and rarely come to the office.
Exco need a sign? Why would they – all their business is over the phone and email. Exco still has UPS trucks, Employees, vendors, mail, and other needs even though they are not a “destination” for customers. EXCO needs to mark the place for these services to continue.
EXCO’s Carlos Acosta (owner) requested Signs for San Diego to put the EXCO logo for the front door.
EXCO had good artwork and we reworked that into a vector file. From a vector file, we could cut out the colored vinyl to make the EXCO logo. This is not a print, the vinyl applied to the glass. The color is through the vinyl – not an ink printed on top.
At Signs for San Diego we have a lot of colors in of rolls of vinyl. This helps small jobs go quickly and with lower expense. In this case we had the correct colors.
The vector files drive a plotter that runs a small blade through the vinyl. We then peal away the parts that we do not need and leave only the logo we want. This is done one color at a time, so there are 2 types of vinyl in this case. We have a sheet of tape to hold the cuts in the correct position and we install the cut vinyl on glass.
