In the Oakland/East Bay area, we offer a spiritual group where you can grow, connect, and make an impact. The Oakland Center for Spiritual Living promotes Science of Mind spiritual principles and practices that enrich and empower us, and we are proud of the positivity we bring to our participants every day.
We offer many ministries and we love welcoming new people to experience spirituality, that connection with the divine that is us, as us. In the sections that follow, we discuss the vision we have for our Center. Diverse and Welcoming Environment
One of the central beliefs of our group is the divinity of all life, a divinity which exists in all of creation. We also believe diversity is the nature of creation. These beliefs help us view the world differently than many others, and help us appreciate the differences we bring to each other and to communities. We seek to understand and welcome each person as they are, which in turn helps us all grow together. If you visit a service or event, you will see a diverse group of people who represent all walks of life. We want anyone to feel welcome, and we make it a priority to help people feel comfortable participating with us.
Inspire and Serve our Community
We are an outward-facing organization, which means we want to play a major role in the greater community. We have many ministries which are set up to not only serve our members, but to help others as well. Our facility features a full commercial kitchen where we cook meals for people. We offer affirmative prayer for anyone who needs uplifting. Our events are also community-driven, and we offer a wide variety of activities which anyone can attend. We hold concerts, community markets, fundraisers for great causes and much more, all with the goal of making a positive impact in the world. We also support many local nonprofit organizations of all kinds.

Our vision is to provide an environment where people can grow into more empowered lives, making more conscious decisions that bring them peace, abundance, and connection. This means growth as an individual and growth as a group as well. We believe in the goodness that exists in each of us and the wonderful possibilities for Good in our destinies. As we share our learning and how we apply the principles of Science of Mind to real life situations, we become more able and ready to support each other in this process of growth and transformation.
