Only 1 Auto Glass (www.only1autoglass.com) previously used another company to wrap their vans, and their design was solid, so our task was to recreate and enhance the design, while maintaining consistency across the most recently wrapped vans in their fleet. Armed with a vector logo and a high resolution photographic element from the client, our design team went to work. The design looked to be a simple layout based on the art components provided, but in comparing one element (a photograph of a piece of broken glass) to the existing van pattern we initially struggled align the images to match their existing wrapped vans. It turned out the image had been mirrored and flipped upside down. After crossing that hurdle the van wrap design was quickly completed. We noticed the original wrap design was void of any marketing call to action information outside of the phone number and a QR code, so we suggested adding one of Only 1’s tag lines, as well as their website address to the design.
