We were contacted by WDW News Today, an award-nominated podcast for Walt Disney World updating people about news and information on the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida and the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. They called us asking about different options for a lobby sign. They already knew the artwork they wanted but didn't know the right way to present it in a lobby sign. Check out the final product we came up with for them in the photo below. PVC letters is a wonderful option compared to acrylic if you are looking to save some money! Acrylic is better with transparency and PVC is better with solid, depending on your logo, it can be completely customizable! Like stated, they already had the artwork so we just needed to come up with a good way to present their design in a lobby sign. They wanted something that would be aesthetically pleasing to the eye and showed the dimension that they have in their logo design. We offered multiple options and after only one proof they decided on the material and the sign. The final sign was made from painted PVC letters on an acrylic backing that had frosted vinyl laid on top to give more of a modern look. We went with Howmac, a dimensional letters company that we have used multiple times in the past and that we trust to produce the painted PVC Letters. We were able to have the acrylic with frosted vinyl done in house. Once we received the PVC letters we attached them to the acrylic and the sign was ready to go! The installation process with these kinds of signs are easy and straightforward. For this specific sign we had 1" brushed metal standoffs. Overall the installation process shouldn't take over and hour and a half for a smaller-normal sized sign.
