Wall Murals can completely transform an office, creating a different atmosphere and can make a statement about the organization’s beliefs, standards and mission.
We recently had a request from a new customer to install in wall mural in his personal office. He was very specific in what he wanted, as he is an aviation enthusiast. We looked at numerous images with him before settling on a specific image. Significant work was required for the image to be able to be printed clearly in such a large format.
The picture itself is taken in the cockpit of a small aircraft about to land at a small rural airport in the Caribbean, creating an atmosphere of action and competence.
The mural that we installed is large, measuring 150” wide by 102” high. Due to the size the mural had to be printed in 3 different panels, making the install a challenge with seamless edges.
We used 3M IJ35 vinyl as it is easy to apply and has a controlled air release function to help with the elimination of bubbles.
The install took several hours, ensuring the seams were virtually invisible. The team also had to make minor adjustments to accommodate areas where the wall was not totally square
While the mural is large and transformative, our install team took great care of the small details, such as ensuring that the power and phone outlets on the wall were integrated into the mural.
The mural completely transformed the customer’s office and created the exact feel he was looking for, looking at the mural gives the impression that you are in the aircraft, sat behind the pilot. The customer is delighted with the work and the result and we are now looking at more murals for other areas in his office, and other locations that he operates from.
