All you could see were simple backwalls and retractable banner stands with just the company logo. This is fine, if you are on a tight budget and really don’t want to stand out from the rest of the exhibitors, but wait, didn’t you invest a great deal of money just to attend your last tradeshow? I recently attended a large tradeshow at McCormick Place in Chicago, and most of the exhibits looked exactly alike. I did however walk by a booth that had a theme, and it immediately attracted my attention. They had several Formulate Master backwalls with bold printing, but they didn’t just print the logo. They created an environment with the backwall image. When entering the booth, it looked like you were stepping on to Caribbean beach, complete with tiki torches and a tiki bar.  Isn’t that what you want to do at your next tradeshow event, to attract attention? Yes, backwalls and retractable banner stands are very effective display features, but instead of just putting your logo and brand identity on your display features, why not create an environment using the backwall? Another great booth theme I saw was for a golf ball manufacturer. The tradeshow backwall was printed to look like a golf course and they added some details like the turf and the bench to give the booth theme the look and feel as if you were stepping onto a golf course. We removed the logo on the booth, but you can certainly add your company logo for branding purposes. The point is that instead of just printing a giant company logo, create a theme by creating an inviting environment to entice a visitor to stop by and talk to you. You could even take the booth them a step further by adding a water feature, or a beverage cart. There are so many ways to use simple tradeshow backwalls to create a theme at your next tradeshow event. The point is, to be creative and think outside the box. Use your backwalls, table covers or retractable banners to create an inviting theme at your next tradeshow exhibit. Check out www.banneranddisplaydirect.com  to see how you can get started.
