Quail Valley is one of the best known secrets in Missouri City.
Founded in 1969 and historically a safe haven for quails and heron, Quail Valley can be found nestled in the very center of Missouri City. This area in Fort Bend County has two highly rated 18 hole golf courses: the more traditional layout that is La Quinta, and El Dorado which features a more rolling landscape. Both are open to pedestrian traffic (biking and walking) during certain times of the day.
Quail Valley also has The City Centre, which boasts a 25,000 square foot venue with multiple ballrooms, and includes the Bluebonnet Grille. There is also The Recreation and Tennis center that is 24,500 square feet, and includes fun activities such as batting cages, a full size gym, along with tons of fitness programs for residents of the area to enjoy such as Yoga, Fencing, HIIT exercises and Children’s dance class. They also have youth athletic programs and summer day camps. Parents can take advantage of the “Kid Zone” open in the afternoon, that is included with their seven day a week membership.
If you enjoy the outdoors, you’ll be pleased to know that Quail Valley holds many of Missouri City’s award winning parks and provides 180
acres of greenery, along with activities such as basketball, fishing, soccer fields, and playgrounds. They also have pavilions you can reserve for spring and summertime get togethers.
Something really unique to the Quail Valley area is the “Edible Arbor Trail”, an award winning trail built along the Oyster Creek Bayou. This trail is 2.31 miles long and connects to Sugar Land’s trail along Oyster Creek. It provides groves of trees and shrubs that produce fruits and nuts you can eat right off the path! Some of the edibles featured are: golden fig, lemon, olive walnut, pecan, pomegranate, cherry, pineapple, and mulberry.
Quail Valley has a lot to offer its residents; it’s worth checking out this charming area for yourself!
