Some may think, well, as I age, the only alternative becomes a traditional comb-over? And the answer is yes… If this were the 1959! Fortunately things have changed a lot, particularly in the last ten years. Some say there is one person to thank (or blame, depending on which side of the debate you support!), one guy in particular. Who are we talking about? Any guesses? Here’s a hint, he is a major soccer star. If you said Ronaldo, well you are correct! There used to be a time when soccer players in particular would just grow a mop with no particular shape or form. It looked just like an image out of Woodstock but with  people wearing uniforms. To begin with the most basic, we have the buzz cut. Pros, basically no maintenance or time spent styling or applying product. Cons: it’s what you get for free if you join the military or go to prison. A small upgrade and very common is the French crop. It calls for a relatively short fringe at the front. Pros: still low maintenance and the only cons is that you look a bit like Justin Timberlake. Building on the amount of hair on top of your head is the pompadour, probably the most neutral or classic of all hairstyles. The pros is that basically no one can call you out for wanting to stand out and the con is that well… you won’t stand out! From there on there is a long list of elements to play with , especially when it comes to fades and tapers going all the way to man buns.
