Your storefront windows and doors are excellent real estate for signs such as perforated window graphics, window decals and stickers or window clings. They can be bright and colourful catching the eye of many potential customers. When it comes to advertising using your windows there are many options and we will describe some of those here for you.
What are the Benefits of Perforated Window Film?
Perforated window film allows you to advertise your business and promote your message while still being able to see out through the window from the inside. It also has the added benefit of privacy and security that while people can see your advertisement, they cannot look inside your store! This is achieved by having very tiny perforations in the vinyl. Typically perforated window film is applied on the outside of the window.
For our client being a fitness centre and gym they wanted their clients to feel comfortable inside the gym that people wouldn’t be peeking in, they also wanted to have light flow into the gym but they also wanted to have an advertisement and message. The perforated window graphic was the perfect solution for this situation. The client provided us the messaging and their logo, and we then created the artwork for the windows, printed it on our wide format HP printer and installed it as well.
When can I use Window Vinyl and Decals?
A window vinyl can be applied anywhere you have a window, but you need to consider what type of vinyl you want to use. You can have your business logo, business name, hours of operation and more printed on vinyl for windows. Depending on the visibility you want into and out of the store you can choose either clear or opaque vinyl. With clear window decals or vinyl you can see through areas the are not printed on. With Opaque decals you do not have the same ability to see through them and the area that is not printed is opaque.
For one of clients that had a woodworking shop they wanted a window decal with their name and logo and hours of operation. In this case we used cut vinyl which is another great option for lettering on windows.
Window decals are semi-permanent, meaning once they are stuck on and the adhesive takes hold, you will not be able to move it around. Therefore, when it comes to installation, make sure you have a professional sign maker install it so it is straight and looking great!
Are there any Non-Permanent Window Graphics?
If you want a non-permanent window graphic that is movable, then you should go with a static cling. A static cling is a clear vinyl that doesn’t have an adhesive. The static cling sticks to the glass with static forces. You can print anything from a ‘sale’ sign to product information or anything else you want on a static cling and easily move or remove it when the sale or promotion has ended.
