We recently completed a project for a lobby sign for Finrock Capital and we started with a needs assessment. In the needs assessment, we found out about the type of business, the look and feel the company wanted and we discussed the importance of brand consistency.After an initial phone conversation, we arranged a meeting to discuss further details and take measurements.
You want your lobby sign to fit the space it is in – not too large where it overwhelms the room or too small that it is unnoticeable in the space. After measuring and consulting with the owner we decided on the size of the lobby sign and some window decals. Window decals can be used to also reflect the logo and company name, or hours or operation and other pertinent information.
In some instances, the customer may not yet have a logo and when this is the case our expert graphic designer can design a logo from scratch. We often offer this service to our clients at a reasonable price. If on the other hand the client already has a logo created, we ensure we work within the brand guidelines when creating the lobby sign.
Once we knew that the customer wanted to portray an image that was modern and sleek, we were able to provide different options at different price points that will achieve this look. Some of the options we presented included dimensional letters, illuminated dimensional letters, an acrylic plaque with lettering etc. The client decided to go with acrylic and laminated acrylic logo and lettering. We completed a mock up so the client knew how the sign would look. They were pleased with it and we started production.
