If you are looking for an outstanding banner, check out some of the banners we’ve created for the Kuwait Embassy! The Kuwait Embassy was planning an event at the Ritz Carlton, Toronto, with over 150 delegates including the Ambassador of Kuwait, the Minister of Finance and many foreign delegates. The Embassy had an idea of what they wanted on the banner, but had no artwork.  As with all our projects we started with discussing their needs and designed a banner with the following considerations in mind:

  • Best suited type of banner for the event -There so many banner styles to select from, hanging banners, curved banners, retractable banners to name a few.  For this project, as convenience was an important factor for the client, retractable banners were suited very well as they are easy to put up and take down.
  • Size of the banner – Banners come in many sizes and depending on the venue and purpose of the banner you may decide to go big or small.  If you need a hanging banner on a wall in a large banquet hall, you will want to ensure the banner is large enough to make a statement!  A small hanging banner on a large wall will look insignificant; similarly a large banner in a small room can overwhelm the space and be awkward.  In this project, since the room had a large multimedia screen, instead of using another banner we created artwork that could be displayed on the screen thus saving cost for the client as a large hanging banner was not necessary in addition to the screen.
  • Quality of Print – Many companies can print banner designs on vinyl, however, the quality of the artwork and the printer will ultimately determine whether your banner is outstanding or just mediocre.  At the Sign and Graphics Manufaktur, we use the highest quality printer available on the market and we do the graphic design to ensure the artwork looks great when printed.
  • Real estate on the banner –Having a few key messages with some great artwork or pictures works very well for banners to capture the attention of your audience. You don’t want to have an overcrowded banner with lots of words.
  • Where to place the key messages – This again highlights the importance of designing your banner with the key messages in the best spot.  This depends on the artwork, the logo and what you want to convey in the words on your banner.  We carefully design your banner to make sure it is outstanding and delivers your message to your audience.

Through this project, there were other requests that came in for a variety of other custom items that were needed on a rush basis.  We wanted to help our customer and did the research to source the items on a rush basis and delivered everything to them in advance of the event. The staff at the Kuwait Embassy were thrilled not only with their banners, but also with the outstanding service they received from all the staff at the Sign and Graphics Manufaktur!
