Imagine SignWorks is partnered with Samsung to deliver dynamic digital solutions to Texas based schools. Our primary focus is K-12 and to help school districts in Texas implement digital learning in the classroom. Technology is changing the way curriculum is delivered making it more interactive, collaborative and personalized. So what kind of technology are we talking about? A typical classroom setup would include an Interactive Whiteboard with tablets or Chromebooks and multifunctional wireless printers. The ideal centralized display (Interactive Whiteboard) would be a 65” LED-backlit LCD touchscreen display. The software used to present digital content is MagicIWB Solution. The software solution transforms the display into an interactive HD-tablet with an assortment of functions.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 was designed exclusively for education and is a tremendous compliment to the IWB display. This allows the teacher and student to connect, communicate and collaborate. It will allow the student to become an active learner with increased engagement. Students will be able to switch between group and individual exercises. Content can be pushed from the Interactive Whiteboard to the students’ tablet. Teachers have the ability to see every students tablet screen through the screen monitoring feature.
Digital solutions don’t stop in the classroom. High definition displays can be used in hallways to communicate upcoming dances, school events and other important student related information. Digital displays can be used in cafeterias to display menu items. Food Service Directors can plan and upload weekly menu choices far in advance, freeing them to focus on other more important topics such as nutrition standards. Large format displays can be used as a marquee to show off student achievements or recognize student and teacher accomplishments.
The Texas Education Agency has created the Long-Range Plan for Technology 2006-2020 to help districts in the state of Texas plan and implement new technologies to advance the classroom learning environment. TEA also has the ePlan system in place to help Texas schools develop their own technology plan. School districts can also use STaR chart to gauge their progress in meeting the Long-Range Technology Plans recommendations.
