As ridiculous as it may sound our green screen photography services saved the meeting planners at a recent conference we worked at the Long Beach Convention Center from a veritable photography emergency. The photo booth they had hired for the marquee reception was a no-show! The “emergency” part was that the sponsorship had been paid and the sponsor company was already receiving recognition for their sponsorship throughout the conference and in all the conference collateral. Needless to say to not have a service that had been promoted at every opportunity would have made the conference, the meeting planner, and the sponsoring company look bad.
As a testament to the relationships Caught in the Moment forms with meeting planners, I got a text in the middle of the breakout session for which I was doing the photography asking to meet immediately in the lobby of the host hotel. Not knowing exactly what I’m about to walk into, I ask the photographer covering the other breakout sessions to meet us there too.
The meeting planner confidently asked us how we could help, and oh yeah the reception starts in less than an hour. By sheer luck, we had JUST done a green screen event two days before where we printed on site after superimposing the images on fun backgrounds; EXACTLY the same type of event. Everything from the printing equipment to the fun props was readily accessible and not fully unpacked, so the longest part in getting the setup ready for the reception was driving the five miles to and from our studio. So at the end of the reception the sponsor meeting planner and most importantly the conference attendees were thrilled to leave the event with their fun “photo booth” images in hand.
