Front-Lit Channel Letters for Pearle Vision - Austell, GA[/caption]
If you haven’t been by a Pearle Vision location recently, you might not recognize them! Pearle Vision is engaging in a re-branding program that is changing the look and feel of their North American stores, inside and out. So what’s changed? From a purely signage perspective, gone are the old teal blue raceway-mounted channel letters - - in favor of a design concept that provides a cleaner, crisper look, including custom color direct-mount channel letters, a new custom color dark gray spectacle logo, and a brief nod to Pearle Vision’s 1961 beginnings.
Pearle Optical first opened in Savannah, GA, in 1961. Founder Stanley Pearle also founded Pearle Express and Pearle Vision, which became the market name for U.S. locations. Pearle’s chain of opticians in Europe now has over 1,000 branch locations, including stores in Austria, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Finland, and Estonia.
Within the Atlanta metro area, Pearle Vision franchisees have turned to Big Mouth Signs for the transition from old to new. We’ve completed the re-branding signage for Pearle locations in Canton, GA at 1455 Riverstone Parkway, in Gainesville, GA at the Lakeshore Market Place, 890 Dawsonville Highway, and in Austell, GA at the East-West Commons, 1757 East-West Connector. Work on the fourth location, 239 Market Place Blvd, in the Bartow Market Place in Cartersville, GA, will be wrapping up soon, with a location in Woodstock to follow. Our focus on customer service throughout the project management process has resulted in smooth transitions and attractive new signs.
When Big Mouth Signs begins a storefront channel letter sign project, the first step is a site visit, where we confirm all building dimensions, paint colors for the mounting surface, and any other details that might affect the installation process. Photos are taken of the entire outside of the building, and for this project, inside walls and window areas, as we are also doing interior signs and graphics for each location. We also check for any secondary signage that might be impacted by the re-branding, including monument signs and pylon signs. Next, following the guideline supplied by Pearle’s parent company, Luxottica, layouts are produced showing the various detail involved, including building color information, sign dimensions, and a variety of other specifications that must be just right in order to achieve the look the re-branding program is after. Next comes the permit process, then manufacturing and installation of the new Pearle Vision front-lit, direct mount channel letters, flat-cut dimensional letters (“Est. 1961”), window graphics, and wall graphics. All elements of the sign portion of the Pearle Vision re-branding - - all seamlessly handled by one company - - Big Mouth Signs.
