Custom Digitally Printed Acrylic Interior Signs | SPOTLIGHT

Customizing your sign
First you will need to consider the color of the acrylic that will suit your vision best. Our client decided to go with clear 1/4″ thick polished edge acrylic to give the appearance of glass. You can also choose standard or custom colors to match your brand. Clear however lets the most light penetrate the substrate adding dimension to the sign.
Your logo or message can be permanently imprinted directly onto the plastic sign material. High resolution digital printing can easily match corporate color specifications. For our client we chose to back print the acrylic so that the front surface has a flawless shiny finish. We printed the full color logo to match brand colors and then printed white overlay so that the colors really stand out. This also helps the colors result in a true match by not allowing light to pass through the ink application.
The short time lapse video above displays the printing process of the ink application to the substrate. The UV light then flashes to cure the ink instantly. There is no drying time or risk of damaging the ink imprint.
Installation
For this p
articular installation our team used 6 polished metal stand off brackets. This means that the acrylic has space between itself and the wall. Dimension is created by allowing light to penetrate the material casting shadows from the logo back onto the wall as shown in this image. Originally our team was going to use 4 brackets but decided to add the 2 in the middle of this large 36″x60″x1/4″ thick sign. Stand off brackets offer a minimalist look and are durable at the same time.
