Looking for a unique, custom wall display to liven up your work space? You should consider an architectural display system! We design, fabricate and install these one-of-a-kind works of art. As you will see, they can be used in a variety of ways.
Structural displays are custom-designed pieces of art, but they can also be functional. We create custom architectural displays using a variety of hardware elements, including stainless steel rods, truss assemblies, standoffs, tensioned cables, acrylic panels or pockets (for images or documents), and more. Here are four different uses for custom-designed architectural displays:
- Logo Signs
When you want to make a great first impression in your main lobby area or entrance, an architectural display is a fantastic option. A custom-designed and fabricated architectural display can make your logo stand out from your competition!
We created this logo sign for the main lobby at Morris Lighting & Sound, in Nashville, TN. We used black truss assemblies, tensioned cables, and non-glare acrylic panels. The acrylic panels were recently refreshed to reflect a change in the Morris logo, but the rest of the structure remained the same. This beautiful, versatile display will serve Morris well for many years to come!
Tensioned display systems are another type of architectural display. Cable systems can be used to display a variety of items, including logos, products, photos, menus, works of art, and more. Here’s an example of a tensioned cable system we recently fabricated and installed for Accella Performance Materials’ Training Center in Las Vegas. The small logo signs were beautifully displayed using tightly secured cables with mounting brackets.

- Corporate Timeline Display
An architectural display is also a perfect way to showcase your company’s history. Timelines can contain dates, photographs, logos, descriptions, and more. We can add dimension and a unique look by incorporating a variety of materials into a custom-designed architectural display.
The 14’ wide timeline below was created for Hunt Brothers Pizza. We created this display to show the history of the family business. This timeline display was created using wall vinyl, laser cut acrylic and aluminum standoffs. To learn more about the custom work we’ve done for Hunt Brothers, read this article.
- Employee Recognition or Artist Display
Architectural displays can also be custom built to highlight employees or artists. We designed and fabricated the custom display system show below for First Company Management (FCM), in Franklin, TN. Several of the music artists that FCM represents were featured in this unique and beautiful display. It was fabricated using wooden boards, truss assemblies, cables, channel bars, and acrylic display panels. As you can see, this unique work of art definitely grabs attention!
- Location Display
Architectural displays can be built to showcase all the locations in which your company or organization does business. In the example below, we designed and created a location display for Hunt Brothers to show the areas or regions served by DBH Distributing, as well as additional history and other company information. The materials we used to create this striking location display include: wall vinyl material, laser cut acrylic, and standoffs.
As you can see, architectural displays are a great way for companies and organizations to stand out from the crowd! Each display is custom-designed to meet a customer’s unique needs. Architectural displays are also created to be a focal point for your workspace, so they should be designed to compliment your company’s branded interior.
