The data from a thermal imaging inspection can detect many other issues, such as:
- Areas of the home where insulation is defective. When this happens, you lose a lot of energy from your home. Faulty insulation allows too much of the sun’s heat to penetrate your home through the attic. Your air conditioning then struggles to keep up with that heat, since the insulation is not stopping cold air from simply leaking out through the attic. The result is much higher energy bills.
- Any areas of cool air loss, with the most common culprits being windows, doors, attics, and basements.
