Vehicle Wraps Made Affordable – Combine Vehicle Graphics and Vehicle Lettering
How would you like to have the advertising power of a billboard for a fraction of what your current newspaper ad costs? That’s what you get when you advertise your business on your vehicle.
Take a look at what you pay for each of your other advertising channels on a monthly basis - print ads, radio, TV, billboards… whatever it is you use. Let’s just take a newspaper ad since most business owners probably do some advertising this way. It’s hard to find effective ads for less than $300.00 a month. That’s $3,600.00 a year. Hold that thought.
Visibility of your newspaper ad is dependent on how much distribution the newspaper has. Your ad is also competing with all the other ads on the page. Many newspapers are now online so you get some additional visibility there.
The Outdoor Advertising Association of America (oaaa.org) did a study on the effectiveness of vehicle advertising. Here are a few of their findings:
One vehicle wrap can generate 30,000 to 70,000 impressions daily in a median metropolitan area. Even if you’re not in a metropolitan area your business name will be seen by several thousands of potential customers every day.
80% of people recall something specific from viewing a mobile ad.
30% of the survey respondents said they’d base a buying decision based on the mobile ad.
Fleet vehicle advertising boosts name recognition 15 times greater than any other form of advertising.
Now you understand the power of vehicle graphics or vehicle lettering on your vehicle. It’s all about having your business name where people see it over and over. The BIG QUESTION is always “what does it cost?
Let’s go back to the $3,600.00 / year being spent for a small newspaper ad. A typical van like plumbing or HVAC companies typically use would cost less than the newspaper ad AND last for 5 -7 years or more. You’re probably looking at
,000 – 2,500.00 for a full wrap on a typical van. Going with a partial wrap and / lettering can get it down to around
,000.00. Just doing the lettering – no fancy full-color graphics – would be even less.
Compare the cost of a few months of newspaper ads to the cost of vehicle advertising. Say you went all out and spent $3,600.00 on it. Over 5 years that’s $60.00 / month compared to the newspaper ad at $300.00/month. You get far better exposure with the vehicle advertising than with a newspaper ad.
